He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Matlock and Eula Mae Critchley; his stepfather Harold Arrington; his brother Edward Matlock; and his granddaughter Kaylee.
He is survived by: his wife Dawn Matlock; his sons, Brian Matlock (Tasha), Sean Matlock and Joshua Matlock; his siblings, Anne Smith (Owen) of Valparaiso, IN, James "Tate" Matlock (Marie) of Hopewell, VA and John Arrington of Charleston, WV; and his pet Cinda Mae. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews.
