He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Tate and Minnie Brightwell; his son Steven Tate; and his sister Vivion Ingram. He is survived by: his sons, Larry Tate Jr. and Ricky Tate of Sissonville; and his sisters, Bonnie Thaxton of Sissonville, Cathy Harper of Sissonville and Linda Burford of Sissonville.
