He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley; his parents, Clarence Burdette and Ruby Burdette; and his siblings, Josephine Loudermilk, Janevieve Johnston, Naomi Keen, Hank Burdette, Reggie Burdette, Earl Burdette and Willis Burdette.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda (Daniel Legg) and Kathy (Richard Payne); his sisters, Sharon Brunty and Marcedis Hudson; his grandchildren, Danielle, Michael McCutcheon, Jeremy Payne, Edmond Jonathan Payne, Joshua and David Wilcox; and his great grandchildren, Zach, Zoey McCutcheon, Ethan, Kyleigh, McKinley, Kayden, Karley, Kamron Payne and Elaina Parsons Payne.
