She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Burdette and Adaline Burdette; her husband James "Red" Slater; and her siblings, Helman Burdette, Myrtle Davis Edens, Fronie Wiseman, Juanita Breeden Reed, Ethel White, Mary Turner and Donna Shamblin Watts.
She is survived by: her daughter Sue; her son-in-law David Watson; her son Stanley; her daughter-in-law Kim Slater; her grandchildren, Anissa McGowan, Brandon Watson, Presley Slater and Josie Slater; and her great grandchildren, Matthew McGowan and Emma McGowan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cordie's name to the Kanawha Hospice.
