He is survived by: his parents, Owen Painter and Mary Ellen Painter of Sissonville; his grandfather Luke Jones; his wife Phyllis Painter; and his siblings, Steve of Sissonville, Brenda Holmes of Charleston and Roseanne Blaylock of Elkview.
