He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton H. Stanley and Ann M. Stanley (Chapura); his former wife Thelma Stanley (Cornell); and his brother Alton M. Stanley. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Stanley (Anderson); his children, Teresa Howard (John) of Manassas, VA, John Stanley Jr. (Karen) of Manassas, VA, William Stanley of Sumerduck, VA and Tammy Burton of Virginia Beach, VA; and his stepchildren, Darla Dawson (Duane) and Scott Anderson of Bedford, PA. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
