Patricia Ann Merico Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Merico (Shinnston, West Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 4, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rocco Romeo and Julia Nicolette Romeo; her son Ricky Ray Joseph; her husband Bernard Joseph; her former husband Frank Merico; her siblings, Frank Romeo (Vera), Cora "Coke" Echard (Whitey), John Romeo, Mary Clifton (Tom), Sam Romeo, Guy Romeo (Anna), Ron "Hawk" Romeo and Rocco "Junior" Romeo (Adeline); and her siblings-in-law, Ruth Serafini (Ernie), Raymond, James and William Joseph.
She is survived by: her daughter Lisa DeMarco; her son-in-law Sam DeMarco; her grandchildren, Zach DeMarco (Lindsey Florence), Kylea Radcliff (Curt), Kendal DeMarco, Garth Joseph (Victoria) and Lucas Joseph; her great grandchildren, Cole, Collins Radcliff, Abriana, Kasen, Emorie and Daniel Ricky; her brother James Romeo (Jackie) of Florida; her sister-in-law Sandra Romeo of South Carolina; her niece Dana Echard; and her daughter-in-law Tracy. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Harmer Funeral Home (300 Pike St, Shinnston, WV 26431). A rosary was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 7:30 PM. A Mass was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Ann Catholic Church (610 Pike St, Shinnston, WV 26431).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Ann's Catholic Church or the Blessed Margaret Castello Eucharistic Adoration Chapel in Shinnston, West Virginia.
