She was predeceased by: her parents, Lillian Grace Jackson and Ebert Field Garton; and her siblings, Earl, Jack, Emmel Ray "Bus" Garton and Carol Smith.
She is survived by: her sister Marie Moore; her husband Wilson Currey; her children, Ralph Brooks Currey (Dawn) and Julia Ann Currey; her grandchildren, Christopher, Lauren (Jeremy) and Sara (Stephen); her nephew Ray Garton (Mary Ellen); and her nieces, Janet Lynn Greynolds (Bob) and Sharon Lee Lunsford (Steve).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jean's name to the Harrison County Humane Society, 2450 Saltwell Road, Shinnston, WV 26431.
