It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Coleman Pumphrey Jr. of Shinnston, West Virginia, who passed away on May 8, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Coleman Pumphrey, Sr. and Ruby Jean Grimes Pumphrey; his wife Caroline Sue Farmer Pumphrey; and his siblings, Peter, Larry Pumphrey, Eulah Rhoades and Beulah Sigley.
He is survived by: his siblings, Paul Pumphrey (Karen), Owings, Charlie Pumphrey, Dora Yeager, Marshville, Juanita Pumphrey, Bonnie Quinn, Quiet Dell and Mary Owens; and his children, Matt and Julie Pumphrey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
