As we bid adieu to Gary Ross' earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Gary Ross has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Leo Bates and Mildred Bates (Rogers); his wife Patricia Ann Bates (Coburn); his son Andrew Milton Bates; and his sister Nancy Spring.
He is survived by: his son Thyrone Bates (Starla); his siblings, Karen Blocker (Scott) of Isaac Creek and Charles Gerald Bates; his grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Hull, Tabatha Ann Bates, Gary Ross Bates, II, Gerald Leo Bates and Irene Cleo Bates (Aliza Bates); and his cousin Eugene W. Rogers. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
