He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William Eugene Trail, Sr. and Virginia Pauline Gray Trail; and his wife Freda. He is survived by: his children, Debra Grim (Joseph) of Bunker Hill, WV and Michael Scott Trail, Sr. of Shepherdstown; his brothers, David Trail (Nancy) of Halltown and Mark Trail of Harpers Ferry; his grandsons, Jason Hamilton of Malaysia, Joseph Grim II of Bunker Hill and Michael Scott Trail, Jr. of Shepherdstown; and his great grandchildren, Dallas and Austin Hamilton of Malaysia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
