He was predeceased by: his parents, Carmelo Vitanza and Angela Petronace Vitanza; his former wife Evelyn Lewis Vitanza; his son Gary Wayne Vitanza; and his stepdaughter Sheryl Norris.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Hutson Vitanza; his daughters, Janice Perry and Karla DeMarco; his stepson James Norris (Gloria); his daughter-in-law Joy Vitanza; his grandchildren, Evelyn Vitanza, Casey DeMarco and Alex DeMarco; and his stepgrandchildren, Geoffrey and Anna Norris. He is also survived by two great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
