He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel C. Shade, Sr. and Madoline Eleanor Shade; and his siblings, William Shade and Peggy Reid. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Jean Shade; his children, Madeline Holben (Mark), Sandra Hardy, Samuel Shade, III (Lisa), Stacey Parrish (Chris), Charles Shade, Sara Boucher (David) and Michael Shade (Megan); and his brothers, John Shade (Ayako) and Richard Shade (Linda). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
