He is survived by: his wife Heidi Nichols (Irons); his children, Hannah Nichols of Harpers Ferry and Brogan Nichols; his pets, Red and Cash; and his sisters, Deborah D. Thomas (Gary) and Saundra A. Ash (David) of Berryville, Virginia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
