He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Welch; his son Mark Welch (Lisa) of Statesville, NC; his brother Donald Ray Welch of Union, NC; his granddaughter Crysta; and his great grandchildren, Haylea, Michael and Skylar. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, family, and friends.
