She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank D. Steele and Dorothy Steele (Gray); her siblings, Joseph Steele, Richard "Dickie" Steele and Clotilda "Tillie" Veara; and the father of her children Bobby R. Buckland.
She is survived by: her children, Bobby Buckland of Shady Spring, Colleen Buckland of Beckley and LouAnn Cook (Bob) of Beckley; her sister Mary Costa of Worcester, Mass; her grandchildren, Nick Buckland of Columbus, OH, Patrick Buckland (Sarah) of Shady Spring, Travis Buckland of Coventry, RI and Leslie Johnston (Hunter) of Knoxville, TN; and her great grandchild PJ Buckland of Shady Spring. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
