He was predeceased by: his father Wylie McKinley Jones; and his brothers, Emmitt, Melvin, McKinley, Larry and Jimmy Alexander (Igg).

He is survived by: his close friend Connie Sue Huff of Sophia; his sisters, Janet, Lena, Betty and Cadie; his wife Connie; his children, Alan Jones of Shady Spring, Rita Meador (Mike) of Flat Top, Matt Jones (Christy) of Grandview, Adam Jones (Hayley) of Shady Spring, Seth Jones (Alison) of Beaver and Rachel Jones; and his sisters, Penny Prunesti (Angelo) of Daniels and Francis Bowers.
