She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Friend and Martha Friend (Deaton). She is survived by: her children, Mary Throne (David) of Lexington, NC, Tammy Courtney (Mike) of Lexington, NC, Jesse Jennings (Brenda) of Lexington, NC and Stacy Wagner (Isaac) of Winston-Salem, NC; her grandson Ray Widener (Ashley); her children, Caitlin Throne (Daniel), Christian Palma (Morgen), David Lee Gordon (Tiffany), Matthew Widener (Tori), Heather Malone (Austin), Brianna Harrison (Zaven) and Jacob Harrison; her siblings, Dorothy Ables (Raymond), Reba Thomas (Steve), Howard Friend Jr., Rick Friend (Chris), Kevin Friend, Carolyn Pratt and Joe Ables; and her siblings-in-law, Charlotte Wells, Josie Harding, Larry Jennings and Curtis Brown. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Speing Chapel (729 Flat Top Rd, Shady Spring, WV 25918). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
