He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hanson and Lois Hanson; his son Paul William "Bubby" Hanson; his stepdaughter Tara Arthur (Bateman); and his brothers, Gary "Wayne" Hanson and Kenneth Edward "Kenny" Hanson.
He is survived by: his wife Vickie Hanson (Dodrill); his daughter Angela D. Hanson (Earl Manley) of Deep Water, WV; his stepchildren, Angela G. Walker (Richard) of Seth and Michael Bateman (Amy) of Seth; his brother David Hanson (Brenda) of Winfield, WV; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Hanson of Elkview, WV. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
