He is survived by: his daughter Andrea Runnion (Briana); his stepson Robert Thornton, II (Amber); his grandchildren, Robert Thornton, III and Cheslea Asbury (Jeremiah); his siblings, Sandy Runnion, Bob Runnion (Brenda), Tim Runnion (Jill), Eddie Runnion and Rose Runnion; and his pets, Daisy and Pepper. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM at the Gatens-Harding Funeral Home (147 Main St, Poca, WV 25159). A graveside service was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery (130 Academy Dr, Dunbar, WV 25064).
