He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Beer and Eva Beer; and his sister Katherine Karlicek. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen A. Krown Beer; his children, Korin Populorum (Dennis), Kristin Beer-Zawarus (Brian) and George Beer (Nicole); and his grandchildren, Kacie (Andy), Kellien (Zac), Kaitlin (Jim), Karrie (Mike), Keegan (Ashley), Kristie (Matt), Amy and Joseph. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
