Michael Atkins Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Atkins of Scott Depot, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 27, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Michael may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Michael touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Atkins and Mary Berry Atkins; and his brothers, Johnnie and Ervin Atkins (Buddy). He is survived by: his wife Vickie L. Atkins; and his siblings, Stephen Atkins, Frances Coleman (Susie) and Mary Ellen Spencer (Leonard). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Snodgrass Funeral Home (4122 MacCorkle Ave SW, Charleston, WV 25309). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
