He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Gray Smiley; his daughter Jennifer Smiley; his granddaughter Caitlyn of Corpus Christi, Texas; his sister Bobbie Squyres; his niece Sonya (Larry) of Woodsboro, Texas; his brother Eldon Heaston of Claremont, CA; his nieces, Tina Rodriguez and Katie Heaston; and his nephew Greg Heaston.
