He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Edwin Moreland Sr. and Shirley Frances Moreland (Love); and his mother-in-law Geraldine Berg (Meadows). He is survived by: his wife Connie S. Moreland (Berg); his children, Justin Virgil Moreland of Scherr, WV, Chad Steven Moreland (Heavenly) of Scherr, WV and Cassandra Moreland of Keyser, WV; his grandchildren, Paisley Moreland, Grayson Moreland, Hensley Moreland, Madeline Moreland and Sophia Broadwater; his siblings, Carolyn A. Cosner (Russell) of McKinney, TX, Brenda K. See of Scherr, WV, Allen C. Moreland (Betty) of Scherr, WV, Virgil E. Moreland II of Mt. Storm, WV and Robert "Jake" Moreland (Amanda) of Maysville, WV; his father-in-law Steve Berg of Petersburg, WV; and his family Moreland Pulpwood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
