He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Louis Sheets and Romie Richards Sheets of Winfield, WV.. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Groves Sheets; his sons, Garland Lewis Sheets II (Kim) of Ravenswood, WV and Scott Sheets (Carrie) of Ripley, WV; his grandchildren, Brooke Murray (Luke), Dr. Jordan Sheets (Steven Brooks), Aspen Sheets, Arik Sheets and Sidney Sheets; his great grandchildren, Harper, Lucas and Kason Murray; and his siblings, Roger "Pogo" Dale Sheets (Monna) of Winfield, WV and Wanda Robinson (Douglas) of Teays Valley, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
