He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrell Staats and Erma Riggs Staats; and his son Ronald Ray Staats. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Pursley Staats; his children, Bonnie Staats Payne (James) of Ripley, Donald Staats (Diane) of Sandyville and Lonnie Dean Staats (Darlene) of Sandyville; and his siblings, Denzil Staats of Sandyville and Lois June Dragoo (Larry) of Portland, OH.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations in his memory to the Food Pantry.
