She was predeceased by: her parents, Otho Gandee and Elva Jane Casto Gandee; her husband Robert "Bob" Balis; and her siblings, Glennis Shepherd, Naomi McCrady and Carroll Gandee.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pam Lewis (Jim) of Sandyville and Robin Sheppard (Gary) of Rockport; her grandchildren, Jessica Spears (Chad), Megan Sharp (Canden), Mallory Ohse, Jonathan Triplett (Heather) and Kelsey Smith (Josh); her stepgrandchildren, Tyler Sheppard (Logan), Chris Lewis (Candace), Joshua Lewis and Adam Lewis (Tori); her great grandchildren, Hunter, Cara, Lexi Spears, Grayson, Kinsley Smith, Finley, Ford, Colt Sharp, Vivian and Vanessa Triplett; her stepgreat-grandchildren, London Sheppard, Avonlea, Adeline Lewis and Beckett Lewis; and also Linda Ross. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
