He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred B. Cales and Prudence L. Ward Cales; and his siblings, Basil, Lester, Curtis, Charles, Emmett Cales, Gladys Dameron and Thelma Bragg.
He is survived by: his wife Tina DePriest Cales; his grandchildren, Emilee of Sandstone, Jessie Ward of Pence Springs, Jeremy Jr. of Coal City and Jalynn Hughes of Coal City; and his brother Eddie Cales (Phyliss) of Sandstone. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
