He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschell Adkins and Lois Bellomy Adkins; his niece Tina Lynn Adkins; and his brother-in-law Jimmie Skeens. He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Holbrook Adkins; his siblings, Lee Adkins (Jessie) of Cleveland, OH, Connie Skeens of Midkiff, WV and Phyllis Adkins (Bubby) of Midkiff, WV; his stepdaughter Sarah Johnson (Steve) of Charlotte, NC; his stepgrandchildren, Sam and Maggie Johnson; his friend Dencil Webb; and his pet Max. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
