He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Ingram Matthey and Pearl Robinson Matthey Wallace; his wife Lola June Wilson Matthey; his grandson Jerod Lee Matthey; and his sister Deloris Ford.
He is survived by: his children, Wilson L. "Billy" Matthey (Angelia) of Deerwalk, WV, Dennis Matthey (Pamela) of Salem and June M. Fahey (Michael) of Salem; his grandchildren, Adam "Josey", Lacey, Mindy (Benjamin), Heather, Katie, Grace and Jacob; his great grandchildren, Lucy, Liam, Braden, Izzy, Koen, Kai, Kora, Dalton (Madison), Kaylee and Eli; his great great grandchildren, Emma and Holden; and his caregivers, April Whitehair, Robin Rush, Kayla Bonnell, Doris Merlott and Stephanie Stout. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
