She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Everett and Nancy Evelyn Thompson Lasure; her husband Basil "Carl" Gaskins; her daughter Virginia Zirkle; and her sons-in-law, Richard Kinney, Steve Travis and Lawrence "Rick" Jenkins.

She is survived by: her children, Lynda Kinney, Carl Gaskins (Debby), Lillian Travis, Salem, James Gaskins (Lorraine), Good Hope and Jesse Gaskins; and her son-in-law Bob Zirkle. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
