She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl Drotschmann and Pauline Weiss Drotschmann; her husband Bronislaw Szmigiel (Bruno); her siblings, Kathe Hlushka, Liselotte Goos, Karl Drotschmann, Gunter Drotschmann and Irmgard Rill; and her sons-in-law, Clarence "Bud" Hoover and James "Smitty" Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Gabriele Smith of Kincheloe Community; her grandchildren, Crystal Gagnon (Adam), Big Isaac, Stacey Hoover (Dave Masontown), Zachary Hoover and Phoenix Blincoe (Brad) of Jeffersonville, IL; and her great grandchildren, Cameron, Arianna, Carson, Beau and Woodrow. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
