With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald Lee Racey Sr. of Salem, West Virginia, born in Winchester, Virginia, who passed away on April 11, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Nicholson and Betty Nicholson (Racey); his stepson Robert Bentley; and his granddaughter Vanessa Lynn Rose. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Racey (Ahrens); his children, Angie Gadbois (Steve) of Dandridge, TN, Kim Fittro (Dave Lynch) of Salem, WV, Shawna Dawson (Jack) of Staunton, VA, Brenda Brown (Jeff) of Elizabeth City, NC and Ronnie Racey, Jr. of Salem, WV; his stepchildren, Bonnie Lou Davis of Clarksburg, WV, Connie Lowry of Jackson, MI, Tony Bentley of Jackson, MI and George Bentley of Howell, MI; and his siblings, Carolyn Nicholson of Doddridge County, WV, John Nicholson (Joyce) of Doddridge County, WV, Roger Nicholson (Ann) of Doddridge County, WV and Alan Nicholson (Michelle) of Salem, WV. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Ron's memory.
