She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Everett Cain and Mildred Humphrey Cain Dodd; and her siblings, Roger Lee Cain, Raymond Eugene Cain, Roy E. Cain Jr., Marie Swiger, Betty Stanley, Patricia Findley Stalnaker, Ruth Ellen Cain, Freda Riley and Rita Elaine Currey.

She is survived by: her husband Alfred Taber; her children, John Grothe, Jr. (Kris), Tracie Davis (Stan), Laura Blake (Mike), Kelly Hyatt (Matt), Michael Taber (Harley) and Nicholas Taber (Samarra); her siblings, Mavis Johnson, Carol Sue Keavney, Sandra Kay Richards, Fairmont Robert "Bobby" Dodd and Laurel Park; and her friend Tammy Miller. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
