He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Homer "Hank" Carder. He is survived by: his parents, John Leland Johnston Sr. and Florence Mae Knight Johnston; his wife Jennifer Dawn Carder Johnston; his children, Cody Johnston, Sean Johnston (Eden) of Clarksville, TN, Jared Johnston of Salem, Dylan Johnston of Salem, Allie Johnston of Salem and Savanna Johnston of Salem; his grandchildren, Zaiden, Cooper and Teagan; his sister Mary J Jarvis (Mathew); his niece Isabella; his nephews, Wyatt of Salem and Wade of Salem; his mother-in-law Galena McKinney Carder; and his friend Tommy Lapp "Skippy". He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
