He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Bland and Onnie Patterson Bland; and his siblings, Donald Bland and Susie Martin. He is survived by: his sons, Michael J. Bland of New Albany, OH and John Joseph "J. J."; his grandchildren, Avery, Drake, Eliah and Gabby; his siblings, Robert "Bobby" Bland of Salem and Judy Powell of Virginia; the mother of his children Christine Pulice; and his former wife Patty Bland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
