With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Barr of Salem, West Virginia, born in West Union, West Virginia, who passed away on December 11, 2020 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert William and Bertha Bell Claybourne Barr; his daughter LeAnn Denise Barr; and his brother Charles Barr. He is survived by: his wife Velena Ann Lipscomb Barr; his sons, Kevin Wayne Barr (Toni Rose Moneypenny) and Charles Freeman Barr (Jackie); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, John Starkey, Candice, Colton, Chloe, Aurora Barr and Gavin Elwell; and his siblings, Clyde Barr, George Barr, Pearl, Beach Bottom, Martha Jane, Lucille Quick, William "Jake" Barr, Pat Cork, Elworth, Sedalia, Steve Barr and Sue Ross. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family will receive friends at Davis Funeral Home - Salem, 1999 W Main Street, Salem, WV, on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 2:00-7:00PM with proper distancing and face mask required.
