With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joanne Hammond of Salem, West Virginia, born in Oswego, New York, who passed away on June 16, 2020 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Sherman and Annie Wakefield Sherman; and her brother-in-law Danny Gene Hammond. She is survived by: her husband Larry Hammond; her children, Joe Hammond (Meredith "MerryAnn") of Weaverville and Deborah Fielding (Tim) of Rockford, AL; her brother Martin Sherman (Karen) of Palatka, FL; her sisters-in-law, Ceil Salvadore of Hendersonville and Debbie Hammond of Greenville, SC; and her close friends, Darlene Thompson of Danville, VA, Karen Vernesoni of Buxton, NC and Mary White of Hawthorne, FL.. She is also survived by six grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
