She was predeceased by: her parents, James Mutschelknaus and Helen Ice Mutschelknaus; her husband Robert Lee Samples; and her nephews, Clarence "Bill" Mutschelknaus Jr. Jo and Methodist.

She is survived by: her children, James Robert Bobby of Salem, WV, Dr. Evangeline Yvonne "Eve" Samples of Salem, WV, Isaac Walden Samples, Emilee Dianna Samples of Salem and Clarence Wilson "Wille" Mutschelknaus.
