He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Alexander and Nancy Blanche Linville Hardman; his former wife Donna Jean Swiger Hardman; his grandson Zack Hardman; his siblings, Robert Hardman, Margaret Cayton and Ruth Blake; and his stepdaughter Carla Rasmussen.
He is survived by: his wife Viola Sheffield Hardman; his children, Danny Joe Hardman (Terry) of Clarksburg, Donnie Hardman of Rock Camp, Stanley Hardman (Melissa) of Sardis and Diana Davis (Kenny) of Parkersburg; his stepson Paul Rasmussen (Shelley) of Clarksburg; his grandchildren, Rodney Hardman, Tracy Hardman, Nicholas Jay Hardman, Marissa Hardman, Rebecca Phares, Nichole Hechinger, Quintin Davis, Aidan Rasmussen and Tyler Rasmussen; and his sister Esther Wells of Sardis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
