He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Maxwell and Mamie Bland Ford; his wife Beatrice Lee Cottrill Ford; his son Marvin Lee Ford; and his siblings, Marguerite Long (Thurman), Rolly Ford (Edie), Gencil Ford, Grace, Glenna Davis (Rancil), Maynard Ford, Doyle Ford, Sheridan Ford, Bernadine Bellotte (Dominic), Rhea Howell (Buck) and Viola DeFrances (John).
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer L Ford, Chesna A Menear (James "Jim" Pennsboro) and Clyde Maxwell Ford III (Kimberly); his daughter-in-law Tammy Ford (Salem); his grandchildren, Scott Ford, Dr. Michael Menear (Whitney), Zach Clutter (Chelsey), Brandon Ford, Cory Ford, James Menear (Sarah) and Aubree Ford; and his great grandchildren, Braydon, Kamden, Brendan, Audrey, Caroline, Anastazia, McKenzie, Brittany, Brandy, Amanda, John and Keegan. He is also survived by several great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
