He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Childers and Bessie Cornell Childers; his wife Betty Lou Childers; his sons, Ronald, Billy and Paul; his siblings, Marie Delong, Dale "Red", Glenard and Claude; and his son-in-law Dave Knight.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Childers (Debby), Terry Childers (Sharon), Rick Childers, Larry (Missy), Sharon Knight, Sheila Smith (Tim) and Sonya Childers; and his daughter-in-law Barbara Childers. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
