He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Boor Shingleton; his children, Renee Simons (Ron), Scott Shingleton (Jody) and Teresa Gann (Jason); his grandchildren, Bethany Miller (Ryan), Alexis Simons, Israel Simons (Brittany), Dylan Shingleton (Anna), Maddison, Joel Shingleton, Emma and Quenton Gann; his stepgrandchildren, Josiah and Zoe Claypool; his great grandchildren, Brantley and Bryson Shingleton; and his siblings, Paul Shingleton (Betty), Carroll Shingleton (Glenna) and Shirley Poling (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
