He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Richard "Jake" and Freda Gae Heater (Brown); and his girlfriend Rhonda Little. He is survived by: his children, Matthew Heater (Jessica) and Lyndia Opitz (Anthony); his grandchildren, Autumn Marie Roberts and William Cole Opitz; his siblings, Wanda Duley, Joyce Farley, Janette Hallock, Beverly Jones and Charles "Chuck" Heater; and his close friend Betty Varner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
