He was predeceased by: his sister Sarah Kathryn Bartrug (Sally); and his brother-in-law Charles Ray Bartrug. He is survived by: his children, John David Tice, Dr. Jared Ryan Tice and Laura Melinda Tice; his grandchildren, Clara Elysabeth Tice, Ella Violet Tice and Benjamin Asher Tice; his brother Bernard O'Neal Tice (Marietta); his nieces and nephews, Steven Tice (Kimberly), Judy Mellor (Mark), Rhonda Lauer (Gale), Brenda Horner (Frank) and Mark Bartrug (Kimberly); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Amy Gough, Bryan Wise (Charity), Bradford Lewis, Nicholas Lauer (Lana), Jessica Brooks, Anthony Winland (Crystal), Zack Kirkpatrick (Corey), Dustin Bartrug (Tracey), Cody Bartrug (Ginger), Michael Winland (Heather), Seth Bartrug, Aaron Tice, Evan Lauer, Cameron Kiss and Carter Kiss.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Pleasants County Humane Society, P. O. Box 110, St. Marys, WV 26170.
