He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cox and Nellie Fleming Cox; and his close friend Sam Greenwood. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Abicht Cox; his son Zachary Cox (Lisa); his grandchildren, Selena Whipkey, Trey Vaughan, Jade Cox and Eli Cox; and his great grandchild Willow Vaughan.
