He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Raymond and Edith Eddy Herlan; his former wife Sue Dee Hoff Herlan; his daughter Lori Lynn Jones; his son-in-law Kenneth Lee Jones; and his siblings, Ronald, Robert Herlan, Donna Hearn and Helen Farson.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Swingler Hearn Herlan; his daughter Johnna Sue Herlan Carre; his grandchildren, Eleanor Yoder (Aaron), Jack Carre, Landon Carre, Christy Wright (Andrew), Samantha Bucon (Chris) and Josey Jones; and his great grandchildren, Jaxon, Jace Wright and Colby Bucon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
