He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah J. Ball and Cora Barrett Ball; his wife Mildred "Midge" Ball; his son Harvey J. Ball; and his siblings, Ruby Ball, Reba Sexton, Virginia Wells, Omar, Oscar Ball, Elmer, Laura and Lois Ball.
He is survived by: his son James L. Ball (Cathy) of Winston-Salem, NC; his stepson Clyde Conner (Sue) of Lewisburg, WV; his daughter Linda Tomaszewki (John) of New Martinsville; his close friend Sjoukje Van Loan; and his pet Freyja.
