He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Brookover and Laura Lauderman Brookover; and his brothers, Archie, Chester, John and David.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy Smith Brookover; his children, Sam Brookover (Teresa) and Susan Smith (Ronnie); his grandchildren, Jordan Poling, Emma Brookover, Ryan McFarland and Grace McFarland; his great grandchildren, Kaige and Amelia; and his siblings, Sue Blouir, Nancy Eagle, Ruthie Todd and Sam Brookover. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
