He was predeceased by: his parents, Elisha "Lish" Herman McCoy and Velva Spears McCoy; his brothers, Cecil McCoy and Ernest McCoy; his wife Doris Jean Adkins; his son Myron David; his siblings, Hershel, Ralph, Dovetta "Tootsie" Browning and Loretta Jean Lovejoy; and his children-in-law, Eddie and Deborah Ann Schwartz McCoy.
He is survived by: his nephews, David McCoy and John McCoy; his former wife Darlene Adkins Vickers Davidson; his children, W. Michael McCoy (Sheila), Mark Edward McCoy and Maria Lynn McCoy-Hanna; his grandchildren, Johanna Manbeck (Chuck), Sean McCoy, Steven Curcio (Emily), Ethan Curcio (Kayla), Tana McCoy and David McCoy; and his stepsons, Jimmy Vickers, Kevin Vickers and Randy Vickers. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews along with many cousins.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the ALS charity in memory of his wife, Doris Jean, whom he took care of until she passed.
